Re: Amazon Fresh, take 2
This was my Echo Show device at home. I listen to music on my smart home devices. I set up my home address on it, so it knows.

Re: Self Check Outs
The problem with self checkout theft is that much of it is unreported especially in California where the police will not even show up. Self checkout theft was so bad at Costco in San Leandro, California (next to Oakland), that the Costco employees just threw up their hands and said self checkout is ...

Re: 99 cents only calls it quits
I liked 99 Cents years ago too. It was fun to find such cheap little bargains. However, their stores are horrendously messy now.
I am sad to see them go, but only due to the fact that many areas will be dominated by Dollar Tree from now.

Re: Amazon Fresh, take 2
I was listening to Amazon Music (the Free version), and an advertisement came on about how Dash Carts are an efficient way to shop. The commercial told us to go to Amazon.com to find stores with Dash Carts. There is one Whole Foods store in all of Northern California with Dash Carts. I am not going ...

Re: What's the history behind outdoor and indoor PlayPlaces??
I know of one McDonald's in the San Francisco Bay Area in San Ramon that remodeled to the newest decor and kept the indoor playground. This one is the tall version with ladders and plastic slides. I would say this is the kind for active kids to exercise. It is up to the individual owner of the locat...

Re: Vons for Business?
When I worked at a Structural Engineering company, the receptionist would order snacks and drinks to stock the office refrigerator from Safeway.com There are many little offices all over that prefer the convenience of delivery over cost. The company was profitable and free snacks were unlimited. The...

Re: Self Check Outs
The problem is that employees feel that they are being replaced by self checkout machines. If companies feel that they save money with self checkout, then they will install self checkout. If studies show that there is a large amount of shrink, then companies may get rid of self checkout. Let the com...

Auto Repair Businesses Closing Early
The Big O Tires in my area of the San Francisco Bay Area have recently reduced hours. They used to close around 8:30. Now many close at 5:30, 6, or 7 at the latest. America's Tire seems to close at 6 now. It used to be 8 PM. Are people just spending less on car repairs or is it the auto repair shops...

Re: Burlington closing Carson City, NV location
Burlington had done some crazy stuff over the past couple of years that is really annoying customers. They closed off the restrooms and have put up rope lines outside in front of the entrance doors. It is like you are lining up to get into an exclusive club. It isn't COVID anymore. I don't know why ...
