Sam's Club self checkout is really easy, but the cashier at the regular checkstand kept offering me free gift cards if I renewed or upgraded my membership.
Costco has hand held scanners at self checkout. If you use the handheld it does not ask you to place the item on the machine to weigh that item.

Re: Coca-Cola Freestyle machines on the way out?
Traditional soda fountains are the best. They use actual syrup instead of flavored powder cartridges. McDonald's soda tastes better than other chains due to their unique soda fountains. Other restaurants get their soda syrups in plastic bags, but McDonald's gets its syrup delivered in stainless stee...

Re: Jollibee Expanding to 300 Stores in North America
There is a Seafood City near me with a huge food court with Jollibee, Chow King, and Red Ribbon. I had no idea they owned all of those brands. The building was originally a gigantic Circuit City. Then it was converted into an indoor mini-mall with a food court and a Seafood City supermarket. The Foo...

Re: Coca-Cola Freestyle machines on the way out?

Re: Target Reducing Hours To 9-6 PM in San Francisco
The problem is that if you call the police in San Francisco, they will not respond to Shoplifting. However, if you were in a suburban city where there is low crime the police will show up in minutes. They may even catch some of these shoplifters or someone may get a license plate. The police in othe...

Jollibee Expanding to 300 Stores in North America
The Filipino fast food fried chicken chain is expanding to 300 restaurants in North America. I only tried this place in the past couple of years. The fried chicken was good and they seem to emphasize gravy. The Halo-Halo dessert was unlike anything I have had before. (Purple ice cream).

I have noticed that some Target stores have installed rolling metal doors over their entrances.
Some Walmart stores got them too.

It does seem to be a perfect fit for either brand. The tan matches the previous Lifestyle color and it can be used in any other store brand that the company owns.

Re: Theft, Shoplifting, etc.
People take the shopping carts home and just leave them. Perhaps they think that someone will come and take the carts back to the store for them. 7-Eleven in San Francisco is now doing business through a metal door. You have to ring a bell and they will pass the items through the opening. I have see...
