Re: Free Fast Food
Could always be something totally not an issue (such as someone who has allergies or similar, or even just a dry throat that causes them to cough). One might suspect that if they are working, they know it isn't a problem (particularly as someone in charge) :) It is a tough situation. You aren't sup...

Re: Free Fast Food
Jack in the Box had a 15% off coupon for 4th of July. I hadn't gotten into a Jack in the Box in a while but found one that was actually open inside, it even had iced tea out self serve at the beverage counter. It seemed well staffed but the manager was on drive through and seemed to be coughing a l...

Re: Costco Raises Food Court Prices
Recycling companies only recycle if it makes a profit. The only things that make money are plastic bottles. Everything else is tossed in the trash. Even dirty plastic cannot be recycled. Only about 6 percent of plastic ever gets recycled. Plastic food containers, cups and straws are refused by recy...

Re: Costco Raises Food Court Prices
Meanwhile, as places get forced to use paper straws or have their arms twisted by environmental groups to do it voluntarily, McDonalds in my area uses all plastic cups now (except for the kid size) for soda. Same for Wendys. So okay- we ban the plastic straw and force a paper straw. But then we swi...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Gardnerville, NV Rite Aid is in a world of hurt. They have only one pharmacist, so the pharmacy is now only open 10 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday. It is closed entirely on Saturday and Sunday. This is a retirement area, and a high volume pharmacy. This is a serious problem. Customers are going i...

Re: Post Office
Perhaps they need to upgrade their security. Allow people with PO boxes to enter using a special code that opens the door. The code will track who accessed the lobby last. Or just use the keys they already have for the mailboxes! Or simply have the boxes separated such that those are all you can ge...

Re: Costco Raises Food Court Prices
They should just stop giving straws entirely and not even have them as a supply anymore. The paper straws are more hassle than they are worth. They have to have SOMETHING, unless they start making the cups like those for coffee that you can drink directly from. No one wants to have to take the lid ...

Re: Restaurants being extorted with review bombs
Simple solution - just reply to the reviews with THIS IS AN OBVIOUS FAKE REVIEW IGNORE THIS. They can stay there but it will make no difference, since actual people will be able to see they aren't real and just ignore them.

Re: Potential multiple takeover bids for Kohl's
I didn't ask why they discontinued it, only if it was a nationwide policy or just local. She said it was nationwide. I did have to walk all the way to the back of the store to pick up my order. My local store is a former one-story Mervyn's. Possibly to cut expenses (less people needed if customers ...

Re: Rite Aid closing at least 63 stores
Rite-Aid's strength at least in terms of continuing store counts seems to be concentrated in areas where they were able to acquire a dominant chain: Toledo (Lane's), Pittsburgh (Thrifty), Erie (the original Eckerd) or where they already were established like eastern PA. I think Perry (which they bo...
