Did UNFI actually sell the former Shoppers stores to Compare? Or was Compare just operating them? Looks like the Bridgehampton Kmart has lost its signature blue sign and a cheap banner has gone up instead. This could mean multiple things, whether it is being mended, if store closing is near or TransformCo simply does not want to care for it.

This is happening to another store I know that remodeled less than three years ago. I honestly think retailers really need to keep track of when their stores are last remodeled, because it can turn out to be a waste of money and set them back next time the renovation cycle arrives.
