Looks like the removal of physical media displays has begun, per multiple sources. Many have took to social media to forecast a grim outlook for Best Buy in the wake of this decision.

Northeast? As far as I know it's all Albertsons up there (Acme, Shaw's, Star Market, Kings).

Even if this category generates few sales for Best Buy, how much foot traffic is it generating? Taking it away gives people one less reason to go to Best Buy. My only prediction is more obvious, Meijer is Michigan-based and has been in the Detroit area for much of its existence, therefore they understand the city and can adapt to marketing well.
