Sounds like asbestos claims were part of their financial problems. Asbestos was often mixed in texture paints and plasters for its fireproofing ability. Asbestos was used in a lot of things for the past 100 years.

Apparently this is a plan by SEI to become “foodcentric”….less focused on selling gas and more focused on fresh/made to order foods, like WaWa and QT. It doesn’t help that a large portion of 7-11’s stores are one or two location franchises that have stores that are mediocre at best.

Dunn-Edwards would probably take a lot of those locations. I know a lot of paint contractors prefer D-E paint over other brands.

Most of those Sunoco-owned stores are in areas that there were Alon/7-11s. Most of which have been converted into DK stores by Alon’s parent DelekUSA.

You do know ChikFilA is a majority franchise operation.
