Such a scumbag move by likely CVS with those sign walker ads. I'm now just waiting to see the final number of closures after the leases are renegotiated. Closing stores on the central coast is a bit of a concern since that is one of their strongest markets.

i think i'm starting to see why thrifty ice cream is starting show up at vons/albertsons. i won't speculate closures until something is verified.

the macy's closure is a big blow to san francisco. SF is about to be detroit 2.0 at this point, it's not a matter of if now but, when san francisco has to file for chapter 9 bankruptcy.

if they do follow through with a california retreat, i wonder how many of these drive-thru stores will eventually get gobbled up by CVS to relocate from some of their larger legacy longs stores.

Albertsons actually had an ice cream plant in Boise or somewhere around there, which was sold right before the ASC merger. It was their only food manufacturing plant. I didn't think their ice cream was very good, actually kind of reminded me of the current Signature Ice Cream now that I think about...

i'm not crazy about most store brand ice creams. sunnyside farms ice cream is also very blah.

i highly doubt it but, i do think norcal, bay area, and oregon could potentially either close or be divested to CVS in the near future.
