I will be curious to see if this new store gets the Osco sign out front.

The Sav-on name was used for dual-branding in El Paso. In that case, I doubt it will, as a store nearby (Montwood, former Smith's/Rainbow) got it's Sav-on sign taken down recently.
Albertsons did buy Jewel-Osco stores in El Paso in 1992 (these stores were previously Skaggs-Alpha Beta)

They've been slowly removing the Osco signs from the remaining Albertsons stores in Arizona as they are renovated.

Too bad. I wonder if it will still carry the Osco department (extensive line of drug items) since their other stores in El Paso are all combo store format.

The Jewel-Osco stores Albertsons bought in 1992 had little to do with branding. They were all Skaggs Alpha Beta combo stores that were pre-dated 1991, except for the Florida stores which were massive stores (70k square feet and up) American Stores built in the 1980s but never did much did with before selling them off. In any case, the Sav-on/Osco signs were all a result of one of the early/mid 2000s Albertsons decisions, and even the few stores that were built or renovated under LLC didn't have them.

The store itself looks nice, a bit like H-E-B's modern prototypes with the big prominent entrances like that, but it still resembles a classic Albertsons design with a main entrance and a smaller entryway/exit next to it, and with the potential threat of H-E-B (they're in Midland-Odessa), they need to do up their game.

It looks somewhat similar to the Safeway that opened up in Mesa, AZ in November 2019 (I believe it's Albertsons / Safeway's newest Arizona store).

I'm surprised that El Paso wasn't moved to United like most of the New Mexico stores.

This store also looks like a Tom Thumb in Heath and a Randalls in Georgetown, both of which have opened over the past couple of years. It appears to be Albertsons' new default prototype for suburban construction.

Or hardcore, inner-city construction, as at 61st and Cottage Grove in Chicago, which is as far from "suburban" as you can possibly get. :)
