Fry's taking over former Albertsons Express fuel station

In an interesting twist of fate, the former Albertsons Express fuel station at 75th Ave / Cactus in Peoria, AZ has signs that it will soon become a Fry's Fuel Center. Albertsons closed the store there in 2007 and it appears that Cerberus sold the fuel center to a Shell franchisee when the store closed (prior to the sale of the remaining fuel centers to Valero).

Fry's is now building freestanding fuel centers - not in the same parking lot as a Fry's store (There is one on Union Hills between 19th and 7th Aves in Phx)
