Did the chains win the ability to add a fee for the employee's monthly health care premium, or was the union able to maintain this benefit where 100% of the employee's monthly health care premium is still paid in full by the chains at no cost to the employee?
Definitely best there was no strike right now. Now more than ever, is not the time for a strike, for a variety of reasons.

What good would a strike do at this point? Strikes only really work when the company is large and has money, and employees don't. Albertsons (Vons) and Kroger (Ralphs) aren't on the verge of going out of business, but the 2004 strike did way more damage to the chains and subsequently the employees than anything else. Another strike at this point might cause Ralphs to shove off for good.

Albertsons and Vons are raking in the dough right now as a result of 1) Covid and 2) Less competition, which allows them to keep prices high.
Yes, they have fewer stores. But the stores they still have are very profitable.
