H-Mart Opening New Store in San Francisco
H-Mart Opening New Store in San Francisco
Popular Korean supermarket chain H-Mart is opening a new store in San Francisco at Alemany. In the 1960s, Albertsons entered San Francisco with a store at Alemany. That store became a Lucky and then years later Albertsons bought Lucky and the store became an Albertons. Then the store was demolished and rebuilt as a brand new Albertsons around 2000. The Albertsons closed around 2005 when Albertons initiated massive closures in Northern California. This location at Alemany is cursed. It is a place where supermarkets open up and end up closing constantly.

Re: H-Mart Opening New Store in San Francisco
This did reopen as an Asian grocery store of some type after Albertsons (kept Albertsons interior).
Maybe H-Mart will make a go of it here. H-Mart seems to be going into quite a few larger cities. H-Mart runs a good store in CA. Not so good in OR/WA/Canada, seems to be a different chain with the same name.
