Re: Has anyone seen this in a Kroger-owned store yet?
The "more value for the way you live" has been seen on a few signs at Smiths, but not many. The "market fresh money smart" slogan seems to be being used in its place. Right Store Right Price is also still very heavily displayed on bags, sale tags, and some other random signage. They are also using the slogan "market fresh every day" (I think this one came during FM ownership). They seem confused.

My thought was how it's similar to Winn-Dixie's new look, which may lend more credence or at least increase speculation, that Winn-Dixie is a Kroger buy-out candidate.
I definitely like the return of tiled floors, the stained/sealed concrete floors of the past few years really detracted from the decor of the stores. Unfortunately one the reasons for the concrete floors was not just the low maintenance and cleaning costs, but rather slips and falls, the company that developed the sealant takes liability for slips and falls.
It appears pastel and "sherbet" colors so popular in the 50's and 60's have made a comeback in supermarket decor, though decidedly more upscale than in the mid 20th century. Now Safeway will need to add more color to its lifestyle design to stay contemporary.

Looks like the graphics from this new package combined with the aisle signs and floors from the "Fresh Fare" package...storewanderer wrote:

I actually saw that particular style of aisle signs being used in what appeared to be a relatively new Smith's store in Magna when I was down in Utah this weekend. The product markers on the sides of the aisles didn't match though. I even grabbed a picture if anyone's interested.storewanderer wrote:

I only got a couple of photos from inside the store, but here's the one that shows the aisle sign:

The aisle sign above is in the Kroger decor that resembles the old Ralphs decor. There are already three sided Ralphs aisle signs in some of their stores:
The arched sign holders have appeared before in Kroger stores:

For a data point, my usual Ralphs (in Sherman Oaks, but it's considered the "Van Nuys" Ralphs) got 3-sided aisle hangers when it was renovated over the summer of 2008 -- and they look just like the ones in Brian Lutz's Smiths photo, rather than the "Fresh Fare" design ones in the photo linked to by Alpha8472.Alpha8472 wrote:The aisle sign above is in the Kroger decor that resembles the old Ralphs decor. I thought these were the fresh fare aisle hangers?
