Statewide at $12/hour, up to $13.50 next year.

Oregon has a somewhat odd system that covers the Portland area, "urbanized counties" and rural Oregon.

Portland:
$12.50 / $13.25 / $14 / $14.75
In the period the union is negotiating.

So, this truly is more about raising certain department wage scales and helping union members in non-urban counties see a decent wage lift.

I am going to continue shopping Fred Meyer unless they strike. Winco has certain areas I avoid due to getting bad product too many times such as produce and dairy (which may be more of a local issue than chain wide) and tends to draw questionable crowds unless you go late at night. Front end staffing is hit or miss which can mean long lines at times. Walmart selection is limited, products are frequently out of stock, and lines are long. Prices are ok but slightly more than Winco. Safeway is simply too expensive unless you want to play games with apps, coupons, and cards.
