Walmart and Instacart Partner Up

Post by J-Man »

Walmart and Instacart partner for same-day U.S. delivery in fight against Amazon’s Whole Foods

I'm not sure how this affects or relates to their planned "Walmart+" service which is supposed to offer free delivery of groceries. It was supposed to roll out in July, then was pushed to August, but I haven't heard anything about it lately.

Walmart does not have their own delivery service set up yet. They want to test whether people want quick delivery of this kind by using Instacart temporarily. If they have enough demand, then they will invest in this kind of service. Right now, they are letting the experts at Instacart take care of delivery.
