That is true, they are trying. For them it is clear they are attempting to stay in business and operate retail stores.
Sears has always been a different story. The corporation turned its back on the retail stores a decade ago now and kept trying to convince people the value was in its brands and non-retail holdings such as real estate or appliance repair.
Sears has almost no foot traffic anymore in Reno so the JCP is definitely busier by comparison.
