A single Target store closing announcement:

They are citing "underperforming" as the reason.

Probably not surprising. This is a former GEMCO, and photos of the interior appear to indicate it hasn't been updated since the turn of the century "millenium" package (or whatever they called it with the full-color department signs).

Could be a combination of lease expiring (its been Target 31 years) and high theft, as it isn't in the best area (then again there isn't many good areas of San Bernardino).
