Is the end near at Sears?

Visited Sears here again yesterday. Men's and young men's departments entirely emptied and remaining men's clothing (mostly US Polo Association) moved to women's and shoe dept. Women's department still pretty full and jewerly. Appliances are looking much thinner and moved to mattress dept mostly. Small appliances and Housewares almost empty with some large appliances moved there. Hardware mostly empty except for smalls and outdoor dept entirely empty, not used for fixture sales.

It is noticeably warmer in the store and there were Kenmore box fans running in various areas.

I believe the store closes at the end of the month.

sears in fresno and visalia are slated for closure. this could be the nail in the coffin for manchester center as they just lost their last anchor tenant.

sears is closing 96 more stores and i wouldn't be surprised if the remaining 182 stores liquidates after christmas

Here is something befitting of the decline of Sears...The closed Arrowhead Towne Center store in Glendale AZ is now home to an interactive dinosaur show.
