Walmart has debuted its Walmart Express in Gentry, AR at 15k s.f. is about the size of a dollar store with a similar number of sku's. Unlike the typical dollar store there is a pharmacy and some locations will have fuel. An urban prototype is being planned for Chicago later this year. Walmart says it's still working with the merchandise mix with is considerable smaller than typical Walmart.
