Kmart used this lime-green prototype logo on only a five stores as a test. The name of the city or town is located underneath the logo or beside it. The stores that have this decor are White Lake Township, Michigan, Peoria, Pekin, Morton and Washington, Illinois. The decor featured a lime green and gray color scheme. The layout featured wider aisles, improved lighting, and more selection. It didn't improve business, so they decided not to use it on any other stores. They were trying to come up with a new image for Kmart at the time. They have since gone to the lower case red "kmart" sign. The new Kmart orange concept is the decor that Kmart uses now. It is a sort of retro 70s decor featuring orange and brown colors.

That has to be the most hideous Kmart logo. That combination makes me think of "sickness" for some reason.
