Three years after their flagship New York store closed, FAO Schwarz is opening a new store in Rockefeller Center, with an eye on further expansion over time. Hard to say how well this would work in the long run, but as Toys R Us fades into oblivion there does still seem to be a niche for "boutique" toy stores, so who knows?
