Malls Reopening

Post by Alpha8472 »

In California, Solano Town Center reopened. Only 50 percent of the stores reopened. The line to get into Shoe Palace was very long. People had to wait to get in as the number of people in the store was capped at 30. The people waiting in line indoors were not keeping 6 feet apart and some were not wearing masks as Solano County does not require masks.

Macy's and JCPenney are still closed. Best Buy and Dick's Sporting Goods are curbside pickup only. Most stores will be open by June 2. The Food Court was open, but with tables spaced farther apart and trays are not allowed.

They are asking people to park their cars 6 feet away from each other, but there is no enforcement. The mall is open with reduced hours of 11 to 7 Monday through Saturday and 12 to 6 Sundays.

Macy's is reopened in Reno. JC Penney is still temporarily closed. Dillard's and Kohl's are also reopened in Reno, as is Nordstrom Rack.

Don't know what JC Penney is waiting for. Maybe they are having trouble sourcing personal protective equipment like masks, sanitizer, etc. But I see if we want to shop JC Penney we can just conveniently drive to Utah or Boise. They have about 1/2 of the Utah locations open (why only 1/2...?)... But if you want to shop JCP on the west coast, forget it. OR, CA, WA, NV all closed tight. AZ, UT, ID, CO open but limited locations.
