I stopped into one of these recently to get boarding passes and when I went to the kiosk near the door to get a sales receipt, the kiosk printed the receipt but did not return my card. I informed an employee, who just so happened to be the manager, who said the machine decides to "eat" cards sometimes. She got a set of keys, a screwdriver, and started taking the machine apart to get it to free my card. While she was taking the machine apart, I asked her how often it happened. She said it had happened a few times that day. I asked her if they ever considered fixing the machine. She said the machine hadn't been a problem until that day.
I think I'll forgo a receipt next time.
