A friend of mine who has worked in the auto repair business for many years sees a LOT of problems with sticking fuel injectors when people consistently use ARCO. I have had issues with vehicles not running properly the few times I have used it, and avoid it at all costs.Brian Lutz wrote:Even without BP factored in, a lot of "car guys" won't go near an ARCO station anyway, mostly because their product is perceived to be low quality, and ultimately bad for your engine. Considering the fact that it's rarely more than 10-20 cents cheaper than the other brands, the cost savings aren't really that significant anyway.

I've noticed here in AZ, the small BP logos have been painted over on the ARCO signage.

The "Part of BP" is still in place on the ARCO signs around here.jamcool wrote:I've noticed here in AZ, the small BP logos have been painted over on the ARCO signage.

Gone from the Reno signs, too, since the NV/AZ/SoCal (Fresno south, Bishop South, not sure where the coastal dividing line is) Arcos are now part of Tesoro.
Still up on the NorCal ones.
I wonder when they stop accepting BP Gift Cards...
