Power struggle at JCPenney

An activist investor is pushing the board at JCPenney to hire a permanent CEO to replace Mike Ullman as soon as possible, but is meeting resistance from the chairman of the board and other investors. I can't tell exactly what's going on here, but whatever happens, it's going to take a lot of work to undo the disaster that was Ron Johnson.

What's sad here is that JC Penney wasn't a failing chain when Ron Johnson came in and there is an old like "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" that wasn't followed. I still believe that it has the potential to be saved if done right.
