Burger King is releasing the vegetarian Impossible Whopper nationwide on August 8.

This vegetarian burger is supposed to taste like real beef and bleed. Will this start a trend?

These so-called burgers are true “Frankenfood”....higher in fat and carbs than lean ground beef.

Carl's Jr. got on this bandwagon early and I saw a lot of people I know who are into this whole "eat healthy" image go there. People who normally pride themselves on "not eating fast food" (yet somehow Chipotle, Panera, and food from Starbucks do not quality as "fast food" ),

It is a fad that will pass. It may not fizz off 100% but it is a fad.

Already they're saying the Impossible Whopper is a limited time item, which is expected since in test markets, 90% of the people who ordered it are normally meat eaters, and it will just go back into the forgotten bin of novelty Burger King items, like the black-bun Whopper, the Whopperito, and others.
