Sysco, the food distributor to restaurants and chefs is opening up their warehouses to regular people. They are selling groceries such as produce boxes, meat, etc., and also bulk rolls of toilet paper starting next week.
You can order online for pickup at distribution centers. One is in Fremont, California in the San Francisco Bay Area, and another is in Pleasant Grove.
I wonder if this is competitive in price to supermarkets.

Re: Sysco Selling Groceries & Supplies
Very likely - the local Sysco years ago actually had a storefront space that the public could shop in (actually 3 at one point, 1 at the warehouse and 2 others in other towns).Alpha8472 wrote: ↑May 8th, 2020, 8:33 pm Sysco, the food distributor to restaurants and chefs is opening up their warehouses to regular people. The prices were competitive (probably cheaper on some things), it just depended on what the item was as many were only in large containers or similar packaging (depending on how the packages were designed, some things were a case of smaller items that they could open and sell individually).
