Ohana Hawaiian Barbecue

Post by Alpha8472 »

Ohana Hawaiian Barbecue seems to be a franchise. There is one by a busy Walmart near me that is doing some strange stuff.

It used to be a very busy restaurant with indoor seating that was packed solid most of the day. They had real silverware and ceramic plates. The line would be out the door. Then the pandemic happened and they got rid of indoor dining. They have no outdoor dining. They have been doing take out only with plastic take out boxes. Their customer count has dropped and you rarely ever see a line. They still have not reopened indoor dining even though the rest of the state has reopened. They have lost most of their staff. You are lucky to see 2 employees at any time. There used to be many cooks and cashiers. They even had employees cleaning the tables.

Now they have announced that they are closing on Tuesdays. They seem to have driven away all of their customers and employees just by not reopening indoor dining. What does the corporate office have to say about this?

This is a loose chain... not real structured. The fact the location has stayed open through this, must mean customers are returning as repeat customers to some extent otherwise they'd be gone by now...
