Checkers Drive In At Walmart Stores

Checkers Drive In restaurants, which is the largest double drive-thru restaurant chain is opening up 3 new non-drive-thru restaurants inside of Walmart stores. There are already 2 Checkers Drive In restaurants in Walmart Supercenters.

Checkers is a big step up for these Walmart stores. McDonald's is the cheap low quality burger, while Checkers has some really nice burgers.

Subway can be kind of bland these days. The Subway sandwich trend is getting old and tired. People want some heartier food.

There are other chains inside of Walmart stores including Sonic, Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Papa John's, etc. Personally, I would like to see more pizza, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and barbecue restaurants as well.

A Reno Wal Mart opened in 1995 has a Wendys inside. The Wendys is not in its original space as it was "relocated" during a supercenter expansion, but has been there all along.

Checkers is a good offering, with a mix of better and "value" items. Checkers was once affiliated with Carls and the marketing still has a similar look to Carls marketing.

One of the Reno Wal Marts has a Blimpie inside. Then there are 2 in Reno with McDonalds, 1 in Reno with Subway, 1 in Sparks with McDonalds... most of the rural ones have Subway.

Wow! Wendy's is so much better than McDonald's. I really like their value menu with the Monterey Ranch Crispy Chicken sandwich.
