Walmart Neighborhood Market

Post by Alpha8472 »

I have seen many photos of several Walmart Neighborhood Market stores. These are small grocery stores run by Walmart. The decor is very upscale and looks very different than regular Walmart stores. There are some Walmart influences, but for the most part, the stores could almost be mistaken for any other high end grocery store like Whole Foods.

There is a cafe that serves Starbucks Coffee and Gelato. There is a service deli. Some Neighborhood Markets don't have a deli, but this one does.

You almost forget that you are inside of a Walmart owned store.

The Neighborhood Market they recently opened here in Bellevue looks almost nothing like that. For one thing, the groceries only take up about half the store and the rest contains scaled-down versions of the housewares, toys, sporting goods and electronics departments you would find in a typical Walmart. The store also has none of the service deli/bakery/cafe departments (although it does have a pharmacy,) which is a bit odd because the Supercenter stores around here do all have these, so they would presumably have the supply chain in place to handle these.
