Classic Looking Grocery Stores Still In Operation

Post by Alpha8472 »

Are there any classic looking grocery stores still in operation? There used to be drive thru grocery stores in California.

Here are what some old grocery stores looked like originally:

I didn’t know Piggly Wiggly operated in SoCal. I wonder if it was a franchise and who bought the stores.

According to Wikipedia, several California-based Piggly Wiggly franchisees were acquired by Safeway in 1928-29.
