Dunkin "revamps" Reward Program

Post by storewanderer »

Dunkin previously had a very simple rewards program. Accumulate 200 points, get any drink free. The old program you earned 5 points per $1 spent. But they did a lot of promotions to earn extra points. For a while now at least in NV they had been doing a "Monday" promotion- buy anything on Monday, get 100 free points. For a while you had to buy an iced drink to get the points.

So basically buy 2 $2 items on two Mondays and any drink free was yours. Easy. Once you had 200 points, you were automatically credited with any drink free good 1 month, you did not have to do anything other than, on your visit when you wanted to redeem, present it to scan.

New program, which I guess they trialed in California in recent months (odd to trial something like this in what appears to be one of their worst markets); you now earn 10 points per $1 spent. To get a free drink you have to spend between 500-700 points. You can also redeem for free food items now. You have to go onto their app and "spend" your points. I'm not clear when points expire.
