I read the article and have never heard of Eastlake, CA. It is Chula Vista. Anyway it appears this is just a very small segment of stores doing this. It is an interesting idea and if they have the right employees putting on the birthday party this could be a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Can't imagine the surly bad attitude staff in the Reno Lowe's putting anything like this on though. Maybe Sparks or Fernley could pull it off.

Didn’t Home Depot used to offer classes and little projects for kids like building a birdhouse? I remember seeing the signs and commercials but haven’t heard about it in years.

I’ve seen kits like birdhouse or car kits for sale at Lowe’s.
