Just saw one of next week's ads here for a $3.99 18 count pack on the front cover.
May be the first egg ad in some time, and quite a bit lower than most places have been (even the same store was still $5+ on a dozen within the last few weeks - in fact, they had somehow wound up with $5.29 on the dozen and $2.59 on the 6 count store brand, so 2 6pks was a few cents less than the 12 pack!).

Pricing is going down a little on eggs the past few weeks. Mid 4's per dozen mostly now.
Here on the East Coast, I saw eggs for $2.80 at Aldi, which I would now consider a bargain!
Still much too high. Should be low 2's max. Cannot believe what the food service providers are invoicing small restaurants for eggs out here in NV; upwards of $8 per dozen.
Still $4+ in Nevada (and most stores are not selling Cage Free Eggs despite a law being implemented last year that doesn't explicitly require Cage Free yet but basically requires it).
Oddly the stores with Cage Free Eggs (Raleys, Save Mart, Safeway) seem to have lower egg prices than the stores who don't have Cage Free Eggs. This seems to be due to the CA stores being scared of further egg pricing lawsuits.
Trader Joe's has been under $3 per dozen this whole time. Good honest business there.

Mid-Atlantic area I've been seeing $3.49-$4.49 depending on store - Walmart low, Giant/Safeway higher. This is down from a high of $8 (!!!) for a dozen I saw in early January. I'll have to check Aldi the next time I'm in there. Good to see egg prices coming down.
