Gong's Market
The last Gong's Market in Sanger is closing on Sunday. The only remaining grocery stores in Sanger are now Grocery Outlet, State Foods, and Walmart. Gong's just couldn't hang in there anymore.

Re: Gong's Market
I thought some F4L Franchisees were Gong but maybe it is a different family.
It appears the store was sold to State Foods... which is an interesting operation to say the least.
State Foods has bought a lot of independent stores.

Re: Gong's Market
Can’t speak to the West Coast, but it’s common to see that in the NYC metro area. There are Costco stores, called Costco Business Centers, that sell wholesale to businesses. It’s not uncommon to see Kirkland water at small supermarkets and bodegas in the NYC area, even if that store has its own supplier/wholesaler.

Re: Gong's Market
State Foods is a C&S customer with around 10 stores.
This is the tough situation independent grocery chains face in CA. They can get a better deal at Costco... than from a wholesaler...
It may just be fill in of out of stocks...
