Re: Dollar General Report Safety Concerns
This is a generic service many companies use for ticketing of compliance and ethics reports. Basically it just generates an email about allegations and sends it to someone... Usually the recipient is a person who is too close to the matter and they use the heads up to swiftly sweep the issue under the rug.storewanderer wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2024, 4:06 pm The signs posted in the windows have a working 1-800 number posted however the QR code on the signs no longer works. "Hi Bill Store Manager, this is DM Doug. I have a report alleging there are pallets blocking the electrical panels. Now that couldn't be right, could it? So I'm going to do an investigation and be there tomorrow afternoon, after my 1pm tee time at the country club, to check on those electrical panels."
"I received the concerns and investigated them with the utmost urgency and concern. Upon my arrival at the store I found the stockroom to not have any pallets in the way of the electrical panels. Pictures are attached. I did have to coach the manager about storing pallets on the roof. The allegations were clearly unfounded."

Re: Dollar General Report Safety Concerns
I did notice an upgrade with this data collection firm is that they allow photos to be attached to the report. Their form is not user friendly as you cannot select multiple reasons for the same report, you have to file a separate report for each incident reason (such as safety concern, lighting concern, etc.). I assume they charge per report filed a handling fee so this is a nice way to bump up the number of reports but also helps issues not get "buried" in with other issues I guess.ClownLoach wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2024, 7:04 pmThis is a generic service many companies use for ticketing of compliance and ethics reports. The prior data collection firm did not seem to have that capability.

Re: Dollar General Report Safety Concerns
I'm assuming the only reason for this is some sort of consent decree or other judgment. It is not normal for these websites to be made public. Usually they're just a posting in the employee break room.storewanderer wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2024, 12:40 amI did notice an upgrade with this data collection firm is that they allow photos to be attached to the report. Re: Dollar General Report Safety Concerns
Yeah, I'm surprised there are signs posted in the window about this. The website appears to be for Internal employee use. There is a button for customers, but that just redirects back to Dollar General's 'Help' page.storewanderer wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2024, 4:06 pm The signs posted in the windows have a working 1-800 number posted however the QR code on the signs no longer works. My company uses EthicsPoint too, but it is for employee use. (They do have some other service to collect customer feedback that gets sent to management, but the name escapes me right now).

Re: Dollar General Report Safety Concerns
It is posted on the doors of most of the stores. It is supposed to be posted on every store. The biggest disaster stores do not seem to have the sign. Right by cameras that can see if you scan the QR code. I think the same sign is posted in each store however they could get very technologically smart here and put a different QR code on each store's sign and when the QR is scanned do an immediate record and retain the video of whoever scans the code. But I don't think they are that sophisticated.ClownLoach wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2024, 7:57 amI'm assuming the only reason for this is some sort of consent decree or other judgment. Re: Dollar General Report Safety Concerns
This service is not that sophisticated either. This is a internal compliance service that is designed to capture workplace abuse. Sexual harassment accusations, employment discrimination, embezzlement, wage theft, safety violations, internal theft, hostile work environment, those are the types of issues this vendor specializes in documenting to ensure that the business is compliant in the eyes of the court system should a case be filed. I have no idea why this is in a public place, any problem a customer has should go through the normal customer service channels. They're creating documentation they probably don't want to have on file.storewanderer wrote: ↑September 3rd, 2024, 9:58 pmIt is posted on the doors of most of the stores.
