It says there will be a pineapple mango puree swirled with Vanilla Frosty. So this doesn't sound like an automatic temporary flavor, this sounds like an add on. Either way it sounds great. I hope it will be. Purple frosty just didn't do it for me.

It is easy for pineapple to be "too sweet." We will see how they do with this. With as bad as I find some of these frosty flavors if I don't like this one I'm going to lobby to just go back to vanilla for good.
Quik Trip was running a Pineapple Whip for a while at their food counter. Over a year. You could get a 1/2 vanilla soft serve/ 1/2 pineapple whip and it was really really good. 1.39 for a "mini" cup which is maybe 5 ounces but enough. 1.99 for a standard cup (maybe 8 ounces). I found out now that the Pineapple Whip is gone. That was too bad. They have a couple new shake flavors though- candy corn and pumpkin pie- 1.99 for the "mini" shake which is that maybe 5 ounces cup. They make a vanilla shake and put the coffee flavoring syrup in to these. This is in addition to the excellent caramel apple that is still available. All very tasty.

Maybe it would be better to lobby for adding a third machine, then they could have vanilla and chocolate all the time and use the 3rd one for the rotating flavor option (much like McDonald's used to do for milkshakes, though with four spots as they also had strawberry all the time and then the 4th was the Shamrock/Eggnog and so forth).storewanderer wrote: ↑September 8th, 2024, 1:12 pmIt is easy for pineapple to be "too sweet." Re: Wendy's SpongeBob Krabby Patties & Pineapple Frosty
Some busier locations already have third or even fourth machines (often from closures). But it won't get mandated.
They probably need to mix syrup into vanilla to order but they don't want to add labor to the process at the current Frosty price level. The price keeps going up so that model may eventually be greeted warmly.
This pineapple one may require mix to order and may cost more than standard. Last time they tried getting creative with the frosty sundaes that ended fast.
The problem is at $20/hr labor costs 33 cents per minute. If you start to swirl in syrup to Vanilla frosty and add time to clean the mix in utensils (they are not designed with a utensil sink or prep counter near frosty machines so add walking time...) the frosty cost starts to use too much labor...
