Stater Brothers is going to be getting new Chase Bank in-store branches. Now that Chase has entered California by acquiring Washington Mutual, they are preparing to open branches inside many Stater Brothers supermarkets. Stater Brothers has been gaining market share. Many people have been drawn to Stater Brothers due to their lower prices over Albertsons, Ralphs, or even Vons.
Chase realized that Stater Brothers was the best choice out of the major supermarket chains in the area to open new branches. Stater Brothers has been gaining customers. Albertsons, for example, has been losing their in-store banks one by one. Many and banks and credit unions have closed their Albertsons branches because there wasn't much customer traffic in Southern California Albertsons stores.
Many supermarket bank branches are open 7 days a week. US Bank and Union Bank operate 7 days a week inside of many supermarkets. Bank of America only operates 6 days a week inside of supermarkets.
