Looking ahead to 2019, the new year may not be exciting for troubled supermarket entities. I am hearing Southeastern Grocers will have fewer BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harvey's, and Winn-Dixie stores through closing and/or divestiture in January and February.
Store locations that could be affected by closing or divestiture have seen departments eliminated, decreased deliveries, decreased hours of operation, and decreased staffing.
Some store locations have received aesthetic updates.

Re: Southeastern Grocers: 2019
Is southeastern grocers planning to close more stores and/or pharmacies in 2019? How is the company doing since they came out of bankruptcy last year in 2018??

Re: Southeastern Grocers: 2019
I have heard more stores will close and/or be divested and BI-LO and Harvey's will exit North Carolina.
Southeastern Grocers is spending its way back into debt updating stores. Some stores that have been updated have been low performers for years.

To say the Georgia and Louisiana Winn-Dixies are tired and outdated is an understatement. The one in Alabama isn't so bad. The BI-LO, on the other hand, looks like a nice store. Too bad it is closing.Knight wrote: ↑January 20th, 2019, 7:19 am Four stores in the process of closing:

Re: Southeastern Grocers: 2019
The Covington store is a surprise. It is the oldest store in the Covington/Mandeville area. It was massively renovated when the new store on LA21 was built a few years back. There will only be 2 WD stores remaining in the area now. It's like they're letting Louisiana just die off.Knight wrote: ↑January 20th, 2019, 7:19 am Four stores in the process of closing:
