Tropicana 64 oz Reduced to 59 oz In Supermarkets

Post by Alpha8472 »

Tropicana has recently reduced the amount of juice in their half gallon cartons. They use the same half gallon cartons but only put in 59 ounces instead of 64. That means you are paying for less juice and more empty space.

There are store brand juices that are cheaper than Tropicana, and I would hate to see them do the same thing. Tropicana is owned by Pepsi, so it is not like the company needs the profit to survive. This could start a trend. Don't fill up those half gallons all the way. The next step would be for milk jugs to be partially filled. Maybe they will do something like tint the bottles so that you can't see the liquid level inside.

Tropicana juice is not the best tasting juice out there. There are other independent brands of juice that taste much better. Support local growers not soulless mega-corporations that do everything they can to cheat their customers out of money. Florida's Natural has really good orange juice. Florida's Natural is a cooperative and all of their orange juice is grown in the USA unlike Tropicana which uses fruit from foreign countries.
