Looks like Shopko is only keeping 100 stores, about 1/2 large format and 1/2 small format...
The OR/WA/CA appears to be losing the chain entirely. But they will keep a few large format stores in Idaho and Montana.

I don't really see how this can go forward with 100 stores.

Re: Shopko closing 250 stores
Interesting.
I felt bad for Moab (very isolated community / big tourism town in eastern Utah) but then saw that they now have both Dollar General *and* Family Dollar.
My mom will be happy to hear that Idaho Falls isn't closing, but I am assuming with the way these closures are laid out that merchandise will now be coming from somewhere back east.
She mentioned in filling a prescription there recently, they were only able to give her 88 of a pill instead of 90. The technician said that normally they would top off with the next fill, but the pharmacy would be shutting so they had no more to give.
I have not seen Idaho Falls on a sold pharmacy record, which is interesting. The closest pharmacies would be a Walgreens or Albertsons. The Walgreens has a "Welcome Shopko customers" sign up, she said.
