Canadian market's attempt to shame customers into using reusable bags backfires
East West Market in Vancouver BC attempted to shame customers into not using single-use plastic bags by printing their bags with names such as "Into the Weird Adult Video Emporium" and "The Colon Care Co-Op". Naturally this backfired, and the single-use bags instantly became collectors items.
A wise game developer I once knew said "Never put anythiing ugly or stupid into your video games. Everyone will want one." I guess the same goes for grocery bags...

It is nice when people have a sense of humor. I was thinking of visiting that store when I was up there to get some bags, but didn't.
