Bed Bath and Beyond has announced a "Strategic update" for tomorrow to discuss its turnaround plans. In the meantime, the stock has become rather volatile as of late owing to the "meme stock" crowd such as the Reddit r/wallstreetbets channel and a belief that there is a potential short squeeze situation here where there aren't enough available shares to cover short sellers' positions so they have to buy at higher prices.

Meanwhile they keep doing major clearances of inventory. They completely blew the back to college selling period which in the past was very coveted by the company.

More store closings, more layoffs and discontinuing some of their private label......................

More stellar peformance from the MBA E-Suite of corporate America.

I've been getting some bargains, shopping online; things seem well-packed and logically shipped but they do seem to be in a pickle.

Speaking of Bed, Bath, and Beyond dying, its CFO did just that after falling from a high-rise in New York City.

When it comes to defenestration like that, something serious is going to go down. Like the company is in imminent danger of total failure or he was in violation of something big.

Eli Black did something similar back in 1975.

Pretty wild but maybe it doesn't have anything to do with the company, could have been for personal reasons.

Not a great time for the company to lose its CFO though.

Might or might not be intentional. Until they finish investigating it would be hard to tell.

Could be something as simple as being upset with how things are going, having too much to drink then falling out a window or off the building due to being drunk! So, still connected to what was happening with the company, but not necessarily meaning to kill himself.
