Yesterday after my now weekly Wendy's run, I was cutting through the Lowes parking lot. Suddenly the car in front of me stopped and a vehicle was in front of it. We sat there for quite a while, and then I realized the holdup. Someone was parked in the road and an employee was bringing something out. I didn't understand why somebody would just park in the road in order to have something brought out. Then today I was going to stop in, but decided against it because of how busy it was. But I realized why the person stopped there, they were not being thoughtless, but simply obeying proceedure. There is now a big painted sign that says "curbside pickup here" in that spot!
Now why they would put the curbside pickup right in the road, I have no idea. They have for quite a while now, had a number of parking spots nearby with the blue signs that state they are for 15 minute max - pickup parking only?
Lowes pick up area in roadway?
Re: Lowes pick up area in roadway?
Most Lowe's have a covered area by the indoor lumber yard for loading. Would that not be a better place for pickup?

That area can no longer handle the volume. Lowes and Home Depot have blocked off large sections of their parking lot for order pickup.
