Re: Cascade Mall in Burlington, WA to Close
Looking at a lot of photos from this mall, the Macys looks curiously modern and fresh inside- lighting looks new and the flooring looks new too... did they remodel it a few years before closing it?
The mall itself appears to be largely vacant already and it appears the mall closure will only impact a few tenants.
The mall directory paints an interesting picture. The "teen" stores pretty much already left the mall (or were they never there in the first place?). https://shopcascademall.com/directory/
I wonder what will come of the land.
Funny that Aberdeen mall is outliving this mall (or is it)..

Looking at that directory, they seemed to still have a few relevant chain stores.storewanderer wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 9:01 pm Looking at a lot of photos from this mall, the Macys looks curiously modern and fresh inside- lighting looks new and the flooring looks new too... did they remodel it a few years before closing it?

I am watching to see what happens in Aberdeen now that Sears is gone. That mall just seemed way too big for a town of that size and really looked near dead last time I was there a few years back. That mall has some kind of issue with uneven floors, and I have a feeling the whole property could eventually be redeveloped.
