They were selling a limited number of these at this time last year. They started out in store at 19.99 and sold out in a flash. Then they showed up online at 29.99 and sold out in a flash there too. You can get 20% off Riteaid.com with code bigwin I think.
They should have had these scoops as a standard item long ago. Even if they only sold a few at this markup, it would be worth it.

They're also currently advertising on their receipts a contest to win a Thrifty Ice Cream Thermo - and that's here in NY State (where one might suspect 99+% of their customers don't even know what Thrifty is).
