I think that Macy’s needs to invest in other cool departments that made department stores unique in the past. For example, I think if Macy’s tested out an outdoors/ hiking or a books/magazines department it would do well. Home decor and gift section? Perhaps, a candy counter too? There is plenty of space for this, especially in the larger stores. Macy’s Backstage and Toys R Us are already good idea for this concept.
