Kroger introduces "debit" card

Post by SamSpade »

I guess there is less interest in 'rewards' credit cards these days (or maybe more of us are really squeezed and credit scores just aren't what they used to be...?)

Kroger is now offering a debit card that is similar to Target's red (debit) offering.
The perks identified are-
"50% more" fuel points (1.5 per dollar instead of 1 per dollar)
2% off "own brand" products (automatically applied to and deducted from your next purchase made using your Kroger Rewards Debit Card)

Ads in my social media have been for Kroger, not Fred Meyer or QFC (local nameplates in my region)

They have actually offered this card for at least 5 years or so, it’s just very poorly advertised.
