Different in SoCal. It's just 4X points on selected items - everyday. Since this is my birthday month, my gift (cheap gift) is double points all month. It doubles the 4X points, too.

NorCal has been doing 3x points every third week for the past nine months (with digital coupon). The points multipliers are nothing new.

Safeway did these long before the Albertsons merger too.

They are in SoCal. Rarely happens here. This is all automatic, though. No coupon needed.

Smiths has these promotions sometimes on certain items/item categories (meat, produce, bakery, deli) and it is all automatic with no digital coupon needed. Last time it wasn't working on any deli items despite advertising as such. Customer service issued some extra points when I pointed it out (by scanning the 5 bonus fuel points for reusable bag use a bunch of times), way more points than I was shorted. If it is a storewide extra points event/gift card extra points then digital coupon is needed.
