Long John Silver's is doing $6 Shrimp Baskets now. I don't know if there are many Long John Silver's left these days. Most San Francisco Bay Area locations are gone.
Is this chain still popular in other parts of the country these days? There used to be so many cobranded locations with KFC or Taco Bell.

Re: Long John Silver's
There may be some pockets in the midwest where this chain is somewhat popular. Still a number of cobrands with KFC in CA.
There is a freestanding one in Yuba City and maybe a couple freestanding ones in Sacramento. There are no freestanding locations left at all in SoCal. They were for a while trying to take failing franchise units over and run them as corporate locations and did that in a couple cases in SoCal then the locations ended up closing still a couple years later, leases came up or something.
The Reno one closed last year; owner retired and did not sell it (they owned the Sparks freestanding A&W and sold it to a new owner who I expect to do a really good job with it).
