First "sears" now "jcp"

Post by jamcool »

Apparently someone else is joining the ranks of store logos with lower-case letters, like "macy's"; "belk"; and "sears". JCPenney is using a new logo on their sales circulars...

"jcpenney" in lower case letters with the jcp part in a red box....apparently penney wants to be
known as "jcp" (some of used to call them "Penneys")

...and 'retail watchers'.

I think I would have kept JCP in caps. The red box could still be used in the JCP part and give it the differentiation they're looking for. All lower-case together looks like of messy to me.

I recently made a purchase at JCPenney, and noticed the receipt had all lower case letters in the logo. I don't really care for it. The JCPenney logo in use since the 70s was a simple logo, but it actually aged very well and never really looked outdated.
